LA Roundup: LeBron Buys Mansion That Many Thought was for AD, LAFC Adds Experience Before Orlando, and More!
Leave it to LeBron to troll Lakers fans who are anxiously waiting to see if Anthony Davis will resign with the team. After commenting on a listing for a mansion a few weeks back, many fans began wondering if he was hinting at a possible Davis extension in the works. After all, James already had an enormous house, what need did he have for another one? Apparently even the guy who has it all could use a slight upgrade in living quarters. Regardless of living situation, the hope is still that Davis is locked up long term after the season ends. Something tells me that winning a title might make his decision a little easier…
In preparation for the continuation of their season in Orlando, LAFC has signed veteran star, Andy Najar. Najar has plenty of MLS experience, having spent some time with D.C. United at the beginning of his career. He may not be the big splash that people would normally rave about, but he has been a solid contributor everywhere he has been. The Honduran national will be eligible to join the team in time for the tournament next month and should be a welcome addition to a roster with big expectations.
UCLA has a long and proud football tradition, which will hopefully be displayed at next year’s College Football Hall of Fame induction. Former Bruins John Lee and Ken Norton Jr. were both nominated for the hall, but the list is sure to be trimmed before voting is official. Still, it’s a welcome sight for the Bruins to represent Southern California along with their cross-town rival Trojans.
