LA Roundup: Lebron for MVP, Rams DL Gives Back, LAD Foundation Offers Support, and More!

Today was a day of giving here in Los Angeles.

Yesterday, the Rams DL Sebastian Joseph-Day announced that he was making a donation to help feed the frontline workers at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. His mission continued today, however, with a live stream aimed at raising additional funds to donate. What makes this act of kindness more impressive is that Joseph-Day is still on his rookie contract and does not make millions like a lot of other players. This speaks volumes to his character and they kind of player that the Rams have in him.

While we’re on the topic of giving, the LAD Foundation did their part to help their local communities by donating bottled waters, sports drinks, and fruit to grab-and-go food centers for LA county schools. The Dodger’s foundation has always been exceptional when it comes to giving back and this was no different.

Lastly, we were treated to an unexpected surprise when Jason Tatum named Lebron his 2020 MVP. The Lakers Celtics rivalry is as intense as it gets, but even history couldn’t keep Tatum from showing respect for King James. Lebron was having a season for the ages before the shutdown, and it likely would’ve come down to him or Giannis for the award.
