LA Roundup: SoFi Stadium Updates, More COVID in Football, MLB Virus Testing, and More!

We were provided some interesting updates from the LA sports world today.

For starters, it’s beginning to look like SoFi Stadium will indeed be ready by the start of the new season, whenever that may be. The Rams have done an excellent job of taking fans behind the scenes to check out their new home. Let’s just hope that opening day is filled with tens of thousands of LA faithful!

Continuing on with the Rams, we took an expended look on the money issues with Todd Gurley and Clay Matthews. While it seems all will be forgiven once they receive their dues, one can’t help but think that there may be more to this story yet to be revealed.

On the other side of LA football, things were looking a bit dimmer. Yesterday, we received word of a Rams player that had been infected with the coronavirus. Today, the Chargers countered with 1 confirmed case and 2 that were still pending. The team has confirmed that these are the only cases

On the baseball side of things, Thursday provided some optimism once again. The Dodgers, one of the 27 teams participating in the COVID-19 study, have begun testing players and personnel. Pitcher Joe Kelly went on the ‘Petros and Money Show’ to break down what he knows about the current state of the study.

In the world of college football, USC received some bad news, depending on how you look at things. Former quarterback JT Daniels announced his intention to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. This comes as no surprise to those that followed the team last season, however.
