LA Roundup: Virtual Football Meetings, Kareem to the Rescue, New NFL Agreements, Dodgers Helping with COVID-19 Study, and More!

Today was a positive day for sports nation-wide, but especially here in Los Angeles. We received news that teams were going about business as usual, which gives hope that there may be a way towards playing games again in the near future.

The Rams and Chargers both held virtual meetings with potential draft picks, and the NFL as a whole took a big step forward in an agreement to begin virtual OTAs beginning next week.

On the baseball side, the league announced that it was participating in a COVID-19 mass study in which teams and personnel (including the Dodgers) will help health officials better understand how the virus spreads and new ways to combat it. The NBA was the first sports league to announce this as a potential first step towards playing games again.

Speaking of the NBA, Laker legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar donated an additional 900 safety goggles, this time to UCLA Health.

In a time with so much uncertainty surrounding the sports we all love, this was a great day to be a sports fan!
