Abdul-Jabbar personally delivered the 900 pairs of safety goggles to UCLA Health with a special message thanking all the heathcare workers:
I’m a Bruin through and through and I’m glad to lend any help that I can to the medical community who is doing everything they can to save lives – we appreciate you & we are with you !!!
The NBA Legend made a similar donation of 900 safety goggles to health care workers at Scripps Health in San Diego, CA. Abdul-Jabbar also personally delivered that donation as well. His gracious donations are highly appreciated as many healthcare workers are seeing a decline in equipment available in order to aid those in need due to the pandemic.
