Ben Simmons Explains Why Anthony Davis is a Better Defender than Rudy Gobert

Before becoming the poster child for acting irresponsible during this Corona Virus pandemic, the Utah Jazz’s center, Rudy Gobert was a pretty good defender, earning a couple of Defensive Player of the Year awards along with his first All-Star selection.

Even though Gobert has the numbers and hardware to back up his case, 76ers player, Ben Simmons still would take Lakers star, Anthony Davis.

“I look at AD and I think he’s a better defender than Gobert, because he can defend guards at times,” Ben Simmons explained. “Look, I play ball, I’m looking at guys who can guard 1 through 5, man. … You can’t say you’re one of the best defenders if you’re not guarding every position.”

Simmons can’t be wrong from the perspective of guarding every position.
