Bronny James, USC men’s basketball target, projected as top ten pick in 2024 NBA Draft

In an early look at 2024 NBA Draft prospects, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony predicted that James would be picked at No. 10 to the Orlando Magic

USC men’s basketball target Bronny James has been mocked as a top ten 2024 NBA Draft pick by ESPN

In an early look at 2024 NBA Draft prospects, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony predicted that James, a combo guard, would be picked at No. 10 to the Orlando Magic.

Givony wrote: “Some might be surprised to see James, ranked anywhere from 28 to 43 by the major recruiting services, as a potential top-10 pick. James has earned his spot in lottery conversations with the significant jump he has made at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California, this season, developing into arguably the best perimeter defender in his high school class while making strides in his perimeter shooting and playmaking ability.”

In an article published on Friday, 247Sports.com’s national basketball director Eric Bossi wrote about the recruitment of James

The most recent update right now is that there isn’t really an update…

“The schools that have come up the most as potential suitors for James include Memphis, Ohio State, Oregon and USC,” Bossi wrote. “…The answers to whether Bronny is going to play college ball and where he’ll play aren’t likely be given in the immediate future.”

The Trojans 2023 recruiting class ranks tenth in the country, per 247Sports.com. It’s headlined by point guard Isaiah Collier, the No. 1 recruit in the nation.

USC offered James a scholarship in July of 2022. He hasn’t officially or unofficially visited USC yet, but he did play at the Galen Center on Jan. 7 against Collier’s Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) team. James scored a game high 22 points in a 66-55 Sierra Canyon win.
