USC News: Fans Vote Reggie Bush Favorite Athlete In USC History

Earlier this week, USC asked their Instagram followers to choose their favorite all-time Trojan athletes. As expected, Trojans fans did not disappoint.

After gathering more than 1,300 votes, USC fans decided on a Top 10. Low and behold, former Trojan running back Reggie Bush stands on top of the mountain. Bush decimated all when it came to votes. Pretty much winning by a landslide.

Bush who played at USC from 2003-05, was that player who you just had to watch. During his time as a Trojan, he gathered 3,169 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns from it. Let’s not forget his 1,301 receiving yards and those 13 touchdowns by catching the ball.

While Bush was there, he helped the Trojans win 34 straight games and back-to-back national titles in 2003 and 2004.

Bush also won the Heisman Trophy in 2005, but if you remember he had to forfeit the trophy in 2010 due to that damn NCAA violation. Yes, we all remember. USC’s 10-year disassociation from Bush which was mandated by the NCAA ended on June 10 of this year.

On top of alllll that, ESPN just named Bush the sixth-best college football player of all time.

So now that we see Bush taking the top spot, let’s go down the list of the other 9, shall we?

2. Troy Polamalu
3. JuJu Smith-Schuster
4. Marcus Allen
5. Michael Pittman Jr.
6. Adoree’ Jackson
7. Carson Palmer
8. Sam Donald
9. Matt Leinart
10. Junior Seau

As you can see, Bush had some hefty competition to fend off to gain that #1 seed. I remember watching him play at USC and the energy was amazing. Kudos to you Reggie Bush. Keep on keeping on.
