Recruiting players is always a tricky business when you have to compete with other top schools across the country. One moment you think a star recruit will be repping your colors and then the next they’re taking their talents elsewhere. That’s exactly what happened to UCLA in 2017 when they tried to recruit 4-star wide receiver, Kam Brown. However, Brown ended up having a change of heart as he ended up switching his commitment to Texas A&M.

Sometimes things have a funny way of happening as Brown has once again found his way back to the Bruins through the transfer portal. Brown will come to UCLA with 4 years of eligibility as he redshirted his freshman year, after 3 games, and with the NCAA allowing players to keep a year of eligibility, the 6 games he’s played for the Aggies this year won’t count against him.
Through his first 6 games at the NCAA level, the 6’0, 180-pound receiver has hauled in 7 receptions for 74 yards. He finished high school with 147 receptions for 2,438 yards and 39 touchdowns. His speed and athleticism will be a much-welcomed addition to the Bruin receiving corps.
