Lone Star Bound? Jalen Ramsey A ‘Good Fit’ For Cowboys

With trade rumors surrounding Jalen Ramsey, The Athletic named one potential team that could pursue his services.

With the NFL offseason comes no shortage of rumors, from potential free agent signings to blockbuster trades.

The Los Angeles Rams are no stranger to said rumors, having dealt with retirement rumors surrounding both Sean McVay and Aaron Donald the last two offseasons. Now, though, there is smoke around another defensive cornerstone.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is the latest Ram in the center of rumors, with analysts listing him as a potential trade target. In Jeff Howe’s latest for The Athletic, he named a potential suitor for Ramsey’s services should he officially be made available.

All parties involved remain tight-lipped on the trade availability of Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, but there’s a rumor picking up steam in league circles that the Cowboys would be a good fit. Pairing Ramsey with Trevon Diggs would certainly create one of the most fascinating cornerback combinations in the NFL.

If the Cowboys did trade for Ramsey to pair with superstar corner Trevon Diggs, it would instantly become arguably the best cornerback duo in the NFL.

The duo combined for 147 total tackles and seven interceptions last season on seperate teams, and pairing them on the same team would make the Cowboys defense that much better.

Of course, this is all purely hypothetical and there is no guarantee that Ramsey is traded at all.

If he is, though, sending him to Dallas to work across from Diggs could help the Cowboys finally get over the hump in the playoffs while the Rams get more draft capital to retool the roster with.
