Did Matthew Stafford Predict Rams Super Bowl LVIII Win Over Chiefs?

Despite looking like a rebuild is needed this offseason, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is aiming win another Super Bowl in 2024.

The Los Angeles Rams did not meet their aspirations in 2022, hitting rock bottom as they finished with a 5-12 record just a year after winning the Super Bowl. Yet, that has not stopped starting quarterback Matthew Stafford from looking to capture his second ring.

In a recent episode of “The Morning After” podcast, with Kelly Stafford, the wife of the Rams quarterback, told the story of what Matt told her after leaving head coach Sean McVay’s house after watching the Super Bowl.

“We ended up going to Coach McVay’s house,” Kelly said. “We left that house and Matt was like, ‘We’re gonna beat them in the Super Bowl next year.”

Certainly high expectations after following up a Super Bowl-winning season with a losing one. After the Rams’ season, the immediate feeling was that a rebuild was necessary.

But Stafford’s statement of intention seems to be a stark contrast to that rumored rebuild. But that did not stop the Rams from cutting star inside linebacker Bobby Wagner.

The move to let Wagner go after just one season in Los Angeles freed up $5 million in cap space after signing him to a five-year $50 million deal last offseason.
