Rams: Aaron Donald Wins 2020-21 Defensive Player of the Year Award

The awards continue to pour in for Aaron Donald, as he took home the Defensive Player of the Year Award once again on Saturday evening.

Donald continues to be one of the most feared tackles in the NFL and is the unquestioned leader on the league’s top defensive unit. He finished the season tied for second with 13.5 sacks, but this number does not even begin to explain his impact on the defensive side of the ball.

Opposing teams always seem to have the same gameplan when they play the Rams: double or triple-team Donald on every snap and hope for the best.  And even then, Donald still finds a way to impact the game.

There is no question that the Ram’s defense would not be the same without AD, and for that, he’s earned the right to be the first Defensive Tackle to win the award 3 separate times.
