Rams News: LA Ranked Sixth in Top-10 Power Rankings

2019 was a difficult pill to swallow for Rams fans everywhere as the team missed the playoffs despite reaching the Super Bowl in 2018. Thankfully, 2020 has been much better. The Rams are now 7-3 after their Monday night win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which helped them hold onto first with the Seahawks.

First place wasn’t their only reward for winning on Monday as they find themselves ranked sixth in Bleacher Reports’ power rankings entering Week 12.  Their first half of the season had flashes of pure dominance as well as some rock bottom disappointments. However, since their bye week, they have taken down Russell Wilson and Tom Brady. Two top quarterbacks with very high powered offenses. Neither one was able to do enough as the Rams, with a top-five defense, showcased their ability.

LA’s offense is no joke either. They have talented skill players up and down their roster whether it be the duo of Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, who recently combined for 23 catches and 275 yards, or the rotating backfield. While there have been varying opinions on the performances of Jared Goff, he’s still done plenty to help guide the Rams to this point in the season. He’s still got a lot of learning to do as an NFL quarterback, but we can’t ignore the potential he’s shown.

After taking down to playoff-contending teams and holding first place in the NFC West, it’s time the rest of the league takes the Rams seriously. They are true Super Bowl contenders once again. Yes, there’s still plenty of season left, but this team is more than capable of getting the job done.
