LA Roundup: Dodgers Ramping Up Workouts, Alex Caruso Won’t be Making his Hollywood Debut, Baseball is in a Dangerous Spot, and More!

Alex Caruso, a.k.a. the GOAT, recently came out and publically announced his absence from LeBron’s featured film, Space Jam 2. The Laker guard may be a rock star to fans, but his stardom is still relatively new. Regardless, what fans care about is his production on the court and not the productions he appears in. If he can keep up his amazing play through the playoffs, LA has a great shot at hoisting the Larry O’Brien this year.

In other Lakers news, the son of a former Laker great recently paid tribute to Kobe Bryant. Shareef O’Neal, the son of Shaq, posted an image of him wearing Kobe’s iconic ‘3-peat’ jacket that he wore after the 2002 NBA Finals. O’Neal has been very vocal about his relationship with the late Laker and has posted many reminders of him on his social networks. Kobe meant a lot to us all, but Shareef had a relationship that others can only dream they had with him.

Today we end with the most recent baseball news. It’s no secret that the MLB is struggling to find a way back, and not for baseball reasons. Players and owners alike have been in a grudge match ever since the last CBA was signed, leaving very little hope for a resolution that leaves everyone happy. The danger of not having baseball this year is very real and would leave the sport in an unfamiliar position. Fans may not come back to the game like owners hope, and players may not receive the lucrative contracts that have become the norm. While teams like the Dodgers are beginning to ramp up their training in hopes of a return to action, the league has much to figure out in the days ahead.
