LA Roundup: Kershaw’s Mortality, Dr. Fauci and Baseball, Rams Cutting Ties, and More!

Jackie Robinson Day comes once a year and is usually filled with players across baseball paying tribute by wearing 42. It’s a wonderful tradition that unfortunately could not be accomplished this year due to the continued shutdown. What we were given instead was a rather slow day for LA sports.

We did, however, receive an amazing interview by ESPN’s Wright Thompson on how Kershaw has been dealing with the pain of the past few postseason departures. After so much heartbreak, Kershaw still wakes up each day with the determination to finally get over the hump.

Speaking of baseball, there have been plenty of rumored proposals on how the sport could move forward. Dr. Fauci gave his take on what the most viable plan would be and when he believed it could be accomplished.

Rams News: Rams Center Tested Positive For COVID-19, First NFL Player To Do So

Lastly, the Rams, who have been losing players like flies, addressed a few key departures from this offseason. Their general manager Les Snead gave his take on how the Cooks trade took place and gave his thoughts on Gurley and Matthews as well.

The biggest LA news dropped late when we got word that Rams center Brian Allen tested positive for COVID-19. Their center, Brian Allen, was first diagnosed last month.
