Lakers News: Odds And Lines For Battle Of Play-In Hopefuls

Los Angeles hosts Minnesota tonight.

Tonight, your LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers will try to do what they can against D’Angelo Russell’s old team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, without D’Angelo Russell at the helm.

At least the action is returning to Los Angeles after a brief road stint. The Action Network has you covered with some interesting betting odds and lines.

The Game Spread

Due to LA’s two major injuries (and possibly more), it’s understandable that the Lakers are 1.5-point underdogs even though they’re playing a club with a similar record at Crypto.com Arena. Take Minnesota to cover.

Dennis Schröder’s Combined Points + Assists

Schröder’s status isn’t even guaranteed tonight, so I’d wait for more injury updates before signing of on this bet. When he’s started, he’s certainly proven himself capable of hitting tonight’s over (the line is set at 22.5 combined points and assists). I think he’ll hit it again.

Troy Brown Jr.’s Total Triples

TBJ is something of a reticent shooter, and has been a bit erratic on offense of late. But with an expanded role in the absence of LeBron James, he is no doubt being encouraged to shoot, early and often. Since inheriting starting duties earlier this week, Brown has been making an average of 2-of-5.5 of his triples (36.4%). His over/under is set at 1.5 total made threes. Take the over and cross your fingers.
