Lakers News: LeBron James Spouts Off On Long-Term Right Foot Injury

LA could be in trouble without its All-Star.

During a 111-108 Sunday afternoon victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers All-Star small forward LeBron James aggravated a right foot injury that is now set to keep him sidelined for several weeks

LA has gone winless in all its games since. Sure, it was one game, but still.

The Chosen One posted an Instagram Story bemoaning his poor injury luck — which, to be fair, isn’t exactly that surprising anymore now that he’s missed out on 25+ games for the last three seasons, and seems on track to do that again this year.

James was, well, contrite:

We feel you, LBJ.

It’s going to be an uphill battle for the Lakers, who will be facing off against several high-caliber clubs in the ensuing weeks. They could use every one of his 29.5 points on .501/.308/.759 shooting splits, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.

With James gone, it would certainly behoove LA to get point guard D’Angelo Russell back from his own injury, a right ankle sprain incurred Thursday against the Golden State Warriors, sooner rather than later. Having D-Lo available could at least somewhat supplement the playmaking and scoring the team will lose with James unavailable for the next few weeks.
