Lakers News: LeBron James Exits All-Star Game With Injury

This is a new injury for the King.

Lakers superstar LeBron James will not return to the All-Star Game due to a hand injury, per the TNT broadcast. James put in 13 points and four assists in the first half of the game, but is not going to come back in the second half.

We don’t know if this is a precautionary reason, or if he did something serious to his hand, but for now, we know he won’t play anymore in the exhibition game. Dave McMenamin of ESPN reported that it was a right hand contusion that James suffered.

LeBron has been dealing with left ankle soreness seemingly all year long, and we weren’t sure if he was going to suit up for the All-Star game at all. However, he decided to play, and put on a show before getting hurt sometime before halftime.

LeBron was honored at halftime of the game for becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. He didn’t have any wrap on his hand or finger, and was all smiles. He was also dapping people up with his right hand.

We’ll continue to update you on LeBron’s hand injury when we learn more.
