Lakers News: Can Team LeBron Repeat In Sunday’s All-Star Game?

Betting odds for LBJ’s 19th All-Star game.

Tomorrow night at 4:30 p.m. PT on TNT, Los Angeles Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will put together squads from a pool of 22 healthy (ish) of their fellow All-Stars and compete against each other for an all-offense, no-defense “game” that is really more of a glorified exhibition match so boring that everyone usually just skips it to catch up with the highlights later.

Last year in Cleveland, Golden State Warriors All-Star point guard Stephen Curry helped power Team LeBron to a 163-160 victory over Team Durant. The Baby-Faced Assassin scored 50 points in 2022, fueled in part by 16 made triples. Then-Nets All-Star Kevin Durant was the leading vote-getter in the Eastern Conference during the 2021-22 season’s All-Star voting, which give him the right to run the show for one team. That shouldn’t be an issue for Antetokounmpo going forward, now should it?

Per Bet Online, Team LeBron’s anticipated winning margin is three points, a.k.a. the exact amount Team LeBron won by last year. Given how little either team cares about the game until late, betting on this thing would be absolutely insane.

In 36:15, James scored 24 points on 11-of-24 shooting, including the go-ahead game winner. He also chipped in eight dimes and six boards.
