Lakers News: LeBron James Longevity Highlighted Again Tuesday Against Knicks

This stat is just insane.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been playing basketball for a long time. He’s been in the NBA over half of his life. The 38-year-old is in his 20th season in the league, and is showing no signs of slowing down.

Obviously, with longevity like that, there are going to be tons of amazing statistics that come with it. For example, on Tuesday night, James moved into fourth place on the NBA’s all-time assists list. Also, in about a week or so, he’s going to move into first on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

But not all statistics have to be about his on-court numbers. Last night, LeBron’s longevity was highlighted yet again, when he faced off against yet another player whose dad he played earlier in his career. The Lakers sent out an incredible tweet about the eight father-son duos LeBron has faced in his career.

There’s no better way to prove longevity than saying you played against two generations in one family. And it would be one thing if LeBron was slowing down, but he went for 28 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in his first triple-double of the season against Jalen Brunson’s New York Knicks.

At some point, LeBron is going to slow down. But at the rate he’s going right now, it might not happen anytime soon. And there’s a good chance a few more father-son duos get added to that list — all leading up to him playing with his own son in a few seasons.
