Lakers: New Starting Lineup Without LeBron James Revealed for Clash With Brooklyn

The Lakers are shorthanded on Monday.

The Los Angeles Lakers are shorthanded on Monday for their matchup with the Brooklyn Nets in the Barclays Center. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are out, joining Austin Reaves on the sidelines. Because of that, they have a new lineup for the first time in a while. Here’s how the starters will look for LA’s clash in Brooklyn:

PG: Dennis Schröder

SG: Patrick Beverly

SF: Troy Brown Jr.

PF: Rui Hachimura

C: Thomas Bryant

Rui Hachimura is getting his first start as a member of the purple and gold, in the absence of James and Davis. The rest of the lineup stays the same, so look for Schröder and Bryant to have big games in the scoring column.

Lonnie Walker IV will be available off the bench, and expect to see Max Christie and Wenyen Gabriel back in the rotation on Monday. The odds are against the Lakers to win, but I do see them putting up a good fight in the Barclays Center.

The Lakers are playing on the front end of a back-to-back, so hopefully LeBron and AD are back in the lineup Tuesday night when the Lakers face off against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. But for now, all the focus is on getting the upset win in Brooklyn. Tip off is at 4:30 p.m. PST.
