Lakers Betting Odds: LA Looks To Extend Win Streak Against Atlanta

Can the Lakers win four straight?

This evening, your Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to stretch their win streak to four consecutive contests against the first team they vanquished to kick off this run, the Atlanta Hawks.

Let’s take a look at some betting odds ahead of tonight’s bout, courtesy of The Action Network.

The Game Spread

The visiting Hawks are favored to win tonight against the very injured Lakers by three points, despite LA playing at Crypto.com Arena and most likely getting LeBron James back from a non-COVID-19 illness. That said, the Hawks are better and deeper, and the Lakers only have two good wing defenders available (Troy Brown Jr. and Patrick Beverley). Take the over (sorry Lakers fans).

Thomas Bryant’s Total Points

The projected over/under for the Lakers’ current starting center is set at 16.5 points. Lately, the big man has been very prolific since taking over the starting gig from Davis (though he is not nearly the defender or playmaker Davis is). Across his 10 games as the team’s starter since Anthony Davis went down with a stress injury in his right foot, Bryant has averaged 15.5 points on an eye-gouging 64.4% shooting from the floor, 10 rebounds and 1.5 dimes. He’ll be facing off against an undersized counterpart in Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (Clint Capela remains out). He absolutely bodied Okongwu last Friday with a 19-point, 17-rebound performance. Take the over.

Patrick Beverley’s Total Steals

LA’s starting shooting guard (for some insane reason) is projected to score less than one steal tonight (0.5), per the Vegas odds. The 6’1″ vet is averaging 0.9 steals a night in just 27.1 minutes. Take the over.
