Lakers News: Did LBJ Just Drop The New “Space Jam 2” Logo?

For those who were still wondering about that “Space Jam” sequel, it looks like Lebron let something out of the bag for it earlier today.

The sequel to the 1996 hit starring NBA great Michael Jordan has been in development for some time now. James is cast to be the next NBA player to share the court with those crazy Looney Tunes.

James took to his social media with a reminder to fans:

From the looks of it, I would say James just released what could be the new logo for the upcoming film. “Space Jam: A New Legacy” is what can be read on his cap even if it is backwards (we went ahead and fixed it to show you).

Originally the movie was set to hit theaters on July 16, 2021, but with the current pandemic pushing movie releases further out, it’s anyone’s guess when it will actually be released.

James went on with the caption “2021” followed with 5 emojis reflecting the movie (bunny, carrot, camera reel, popcorn, and a basketball). Maybe a pretty good indication that the actually release day may be up in the air.

“Space Jam 2” has already cast numerous NBA players to be alongside James such as Lakers teammate Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and Damian Lillard.

There is no word on an appearance from Michael Jordan who was cast in the first film, but anything can happen in the world of Looney Tunes!
