Lakers News: Starters Adjusted For Los Angeles Against Mavericks

LA’s starting five gets a tweak.

Per a combination of sources, we can ascertain your Los Angeles Lakers’ starting five against the Dallas Mavericks this afternoon.

Underdog Fantasy reports that star center Anthony Davis will be able to suit up for Los Angeles as he continues to manage his right foot stress injury. Though it’s been nice to have him available in recent weeks, he has not quite looked like his All-Star self.

The league’s injury report indicates that All-Star small forward LeBron James, who had previously been listed as probable to play through his left foot soreness.

Reserve point guard Dennis Schröder has been promoted to a starting role, now that D’Angelo Russell (right ankle sprain) has officially been ruled out, according to Clutch Points.

LA will continue to start shooting guard Malik Beasley and power forward Jarred Vanderbilt around that triumvirate.

Per the Mavericks, Dallas will be starting Irving and Doncic in its backcourt, 6’6″ small forward Reggie Bullock, and… 6’6″ swingman Justin Holiday, a buyout market pickup, at power forward, in a positively Darvin Ham-esque small ball move. 6’10” Dwight Powell will start at center.
