Dodgers Injury News: Miguel Rojas Leaves Sunday’s Game With Leg Cramp

At least it was just a cramp.

Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas left Sunday’s game early against the Chicago Cubs with an apparent injury. He got a base-hit to left field, but came up limping on his was to first base. He was immediately replaced by Yonny Hernandez as a pinch-runner.

The injury appeared to be just a cramp, and on the Spectrum SportsNet LA broadcast, reporter Kirsten Watson confirmed that diagnosis. The broadcast even showed Rojas walking off the field, seemingly okay.

With these early spring training games, you may see a lot of players having similar issues, as they’re getting their bodies ramped up for real baseball.

It was promising to see Rojas find a gap in the infield, and hopefully he’s back on the field soon. Here’s a look at him leaving the field with the initial injury:

The Dodgers will continue this game without Rojas, and we’ll see if he’s back in the lineup soon. He’s planning on playing for Team Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic starting next week.

UPDATE

The team confirmed it was a right foot cramp.
