The LA Clippers are hosting the Kings on Friday night
In what will be Russell Westbrook’s LA Clippers debut, the Sacramento Kings will be in Los Angeles looking to create some distance between themselves and the fourth seed. Currently the Western Conference’s third seed, Sacramento holds a 1.5 game lead over the Clippers, who sit in fourth. Needless to say, this is a big matchup.
As previously mentioned, this will be Russell Westbrook’s Clippers debut, as the newly acquired guard will play his first game since being traded from the Lakers and bought out by the Utah Jazz. For the Clippers, their only injury absence in this game will be Ivica Zubac, who is sidelined with a calf strain.
For the Kings, their injury report is mostly clean, as the only absence is KZ Okpala.
This matchup is one of the biggest games of the season for both the Clippers and Kings. With the season series tied at one win each, the winner of this game secures at least a tie of the season series. With the standings so tight, every tie-breaker advantage is vital. Should the Clippers and Kings finish the season tied in the standings, this game could go a long towards determining who gets the tiebreaker edge.
