Dodgers News: Freddie Freeman Earns Top-10 Spot on MLB Network List

Freddie Freeman is on MLB Network’s top-100 list once again.

The Dodgers landed one more player on the annual MLB Network top-100 players right now list on Thursday. LA first baseman Freddie Freeman was revealed as the tenth-best player in baseball right now, joining four teammates on the list.

Freeman excelled in his first season with the Dodgers, leading the game in hits (199), doubles (47) while leading the team in average  (.325) and runs batted in (100). 

Freddie joins Mookie Betts, who landed in the number four spot, Will Smith (42), Julio Urias (50), and Clayton Kershaw (81) on the list for 2023. 

The LA first baseman was on MLB Network with Betts soon after the announcement where he called the accolade a “pretty cool thing.”

“It’s a whole show dedicated to the 100 top players, so it’s pretty special. Any time you get named, get some recognition, it obviously makes you feel good.”

Freeman remains among the best in baseball and MLB Network confirmed as much heading into the new season.
