The Dodgers had one of the most dominant seasons in recent memory, even if it was just for 60 games. The team is so deep that it has had contributions from every player up and down the roster. And while they all played a crucial role in the team’s success so far, one player has reclaimed his identity after a couple of seasons of average production.
Corey Seager was named a finalist for the 2020 Hank Aaron Award, which has recognized the most outstanding regular season offensive performer in each League since it was established in 1999.

That player of course is shortstop Corey Seager who was named one of seven National League finalists for the Hank Aaron Award. The award is handed out annually to the best offensive player in each league. Other finalists for the National League include Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves, Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals, Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies, Dominic Smith of the New York Mets, Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals, and the despised Manny Machado of the San Diego Padres.
After injuries limited him the past couple of years, Corey Seager finally returned to his productive self. Still just 26 years old, he posted a slash line of .307/.358/.585 on the season with 15 home runs and 41 RBIs. He’s come back with a fire to establish himself as one of the brightest stars in the game.
