Dodgers News: Former 3B Casey Blake Named To Kansas Sports HOF

Do you remember Casey Blake? The Los Angeles Dodgers former 3rd baseman? How can you?! Well, Blake was just inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

Blake was a former Wichita State University All-American as well played for the Shockers from 1993-96 was a three-time All-American and was awarded Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year honors back in ’96.

Blake who’s a native of Des Moines, Iowa, also was a three-time all MVC honoree and received CoSIDA Academic All-American accolades three times. During that time he was also named to the MVC All-Centennial Team.

In 2003, Blake was inducted into the Pizza Hut Shocker Sports Hall of Fame and inducted into the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018.

If you recall Blake’s MLB career he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in ’96 and played 13 years in the Majors. The Jays, Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and lastly the Los Angeles Dodgers.
