Boston Red Sox Fans React to Possibility of Mookie Betts Never Playing for Dodgers

Major League Baseball and the Players Association just agreed to a deal that has basically put the Los Angeles Dodgers in a precarious situation after what was suppose to be an amazing off-season.

As some of you may know, the Dodgers sent away some young studs in Alex Verdugo, Jeter Downs (acquired in the Puig/Kemp/Wood trade) and Connor Joe for former AL MVP, Mookie Betts along with veteran pitcher Davide Price at a 50% off his signed contract.

It was an amazing deal that was suppose to push the Dodgers to top as World Series favorites after coming up short to the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox, two teams who have been caught cheating in the same World Series the Dodgers came up short in.

This was the year of redemption, but much like the hopes and dreams for many people, the Corona Virus pushed a big fat pin that bubble.

The deal that MLB and the Players Association just agreed to basically states that IF this season is not played out, players will still earn service time, so a player like Mookie Betts who is suppose to become a free agent at the end of this season could quite possibly earn a year as a Dodger, but never would have suited up in a regular season game.

Now, fans in Boston are rejoicing and coming out on top of this deal. Seems to be a big change from a few weeks ago, when reports out of Boston were how badly Alex Verdugo was being treated by the fans in Boston for his unique style and moxy.

Check out some reactions Boston Fans have been sharing online:

What do you think of this situation? Is there anything the Dodgers can do about it?

The biggest question is what does Mookie Betts think of the situation?

Will he sign a 1 year contract and risk injury just to make this right?
