Dodgers: Cesar Izturis and Adrian Gonzalez Visit Camelback Ranch

Spring Training for the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch is always a fun time. It’s even more fun when fans get to see faces from the past that they have not seen in a while. Fans were lucky enough to have two blasts from the past at camp on Wednesday.

Gonzalez visiting with the team is an encouraging sign, as it always felt like he left the team on an ominous note. Adrian came to the Dodgers after a blockbuster trade from the Red Sox in 2012. Gonzo hit over 100 homeruns and drove in 448 in his 6 years with the team, and quickly became a fan favorite.

Gonzalez won a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award with the team. He was named to the All-Star team in 2015, his first nod he got since his first year in Boston. He has also yet to officially announce his retirement from the game.

While having Gonzo there was probably great, Dodgers fans got another visitor in Cesar Izturis.

Izturis played for the Dodgers from 2002 to 2006 and was also a fan favorite. He won a Gold Glove in 2004 with the team and was an All-Star in 2005. This appearance at camp was the first time in 12 years that Izturis got to put on a Dodgers’ uniform again.
