Dodgers Spring Training: Chris Taylor Shut Down with Forearm Issue

Dodgers infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor will reportedly be shut down from game action for the time being. Ken Gurnick of shared the news in a tweet on Wednesday.

Taylor has been suffering with mild forearm and biceps irritation since last week, but recovered well enough to play over the weekend. Now it seems that the irritation has resurfaced and the club has decided to exercise caution here in the middle of camp.

The 29-year-old is coming off of a solid year for Los Angeles. Despite a fractured wrist costing time in the middle of season, he still produced 2.4 bWAR over 124 games in 2019. CT3 has accumulated a .266/.331/.463 triple slash line with 51 home runs and 11.2 bWAR in 4 seasons with the Dodgers.

He inked a two-year contract with the club in the off-season as they looked to avoid arbitration.

While Dave Roberts and the Dodgers have plenty of depth to survive without Taylor in spring training, he is expected to play a big role once again for the team this season.
