With MLB’s ongoing investigation into the Boston Red Sox for cheating expected to wrap up over the next week or two, the potential for an awkward situation could find its way to the Dodgers’ clubhouse.
But manager Dave Roberts tells Joel Sherman of the New York Post that he’s not concerned.

Here’s what Doc said to the NY-based publication.
I know with our front office, we do a lot of our due diligence before we make a deal. We have no questions or any concerns, none at all.
In fact, MLB assured the Dodgers they should not worry before completing the January trade.
Of course, the Red Sox are under investigation for cheating in 2018, and potentially into the playoffs and World Series against the Dodgers that season. Moreover, trade acquisitions Mookie Betts and David Price both played key roles on that club.

Indeed it could lead to an awkward locker room if MLB commissioner Rob Manfred implicates the Sox the same way he did with the Houston Astros. However, even if Boston is indicted, LA feels confident that it won’t be an issue going forward. Dodger veteran and clubhouse leader Justin Turner told Sherman “no, no — our goal is to win a championship and everyone in the room is going to contribute to that.”
Additionally, Joel Sherman touches on the players involved in trade rumors that were nixed — namely Joc Pederson and Ross Stripling — returning to the team adding to the potential for another angle of awkwardness in the clubhouse. However, Roberts feels that’s a non-issue.
It is very fair, but I do believe if you spend any extended time with our guys that question would be answered. Our guys have really come together pretty quickly.
The overarching narrative of the New York Post article was that from injuries to awkwardness, nothing can cripple the Dodgers in their quest for a championship in 2020. Indeed, it seems that nothing can.
