Dodgers: Joc Pederson Starts Baseball Activities, Price Goes to the Stretch, and More!

Addressing the media today, Manager Dave Roberts gave several updated on Dodgers’ players. Most importantly, Joc Pederson was able to finally pick up baseball activities. Joc had been experiencing some side issues and soreness that kept him from taking part in any drills.

While baseball activities are always important, Joc was also able to finally pick up a bat. That means he s likely very close to getting into game shape, which would put him on track for Opening Day.

Roberts also addressed David Price, who will make his Cactus League debut on Monday. Price went back to pitching out of the stretch rather than windup, something he has done a few times in his career.

Speaking of mechanical changes, Kiké Hernández reportedly made a few changes to his swing during the playoffs last year that is already paying off. Hernández crushed his second homerun of the Spring in yesterday’s game against Cleveland.

Adding onto the theme of mechanical changes, Joe Kelly spent some time at DriveLine this past offseason. The changes in his offseason routine allowed him to touch 99 mph on the radar gun earlier in camp than he can ever remember doing.
