Dodgers: Mookie Betts Debut Will Come Sunday Against the Cubs

The Dodgers don’t look like they will be playing any games on Saturday, but Sunday is shaping up to be a great day. Dave Roberts announced to media this afternoon that Mookie Betts will get his first action in a Dodgers uniform on Sunday.

Rain pushed back all of the games Saturday, but this little bit of news feels like a ray of sunshine. Dodgers fans have been flocking to Camelback Ranch early on this Spring to get a glimpse of the newest Dodger outfielder.

Mookie was acquired along with David Price in a blockbuster trade a few weeks back. He will get the start in right, and likely will get just one at-bat before hitting the showers for the day. Spring Training generally has a slow start for players who are locks for the Opening Day lineup.

Cody Bellinger, Chris Taylor, and Max Muncy were all supposed to play in Saturday’s game against the Giants. While it has officially been pushed back to 3:15 today, the weather suggests the games will be canceled entirely.

Regardless, the weather is looking like it will be sunny and ready for baseball on Sunday afternoon at Camelback Ranch. Get there early to see the Dodgers newest star in action!
