Dodgers: Kenley Jansen Instructs Youth Baseball Camp with Didi Gregorius
Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen instructed a youth baseball camp along with Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius this week. Jansen hails from Willemstad, Curaçao, an island off the coast of Venezuela that has produced many Major League Baseball players. Didi Gregorius hails from Amsterdam, Netherlands. The two men, along with a few other players, joined forces.

The former Dutch island of Curaçao is likely the spot where a future star will come from and the Netherlands always remain a possibility. Household names like Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons, Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies, and Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts all hail from Dutch locations.
Youth baseball camps like this one continue to spread the love of the game throughout the world and it is good to see Kenley Jansen being involved with it.
Jansen has had quite the busy offseason, working with Driveline Baseball, consistently working out at Dodger Stadium to fix his mechanics, and more. As much as you might believe Jansen fails the Dodgers when it matters most, he has certainly not failed his community. Jansen could go back to being one of baseball’s premier closers in 2020.
