Dodgers Teammates Say Goodbye To Hyun-Jin Ryu On Social Media

Obviously, Friday was a tough day in Tinseltown. First, the Toronto Blue Jays rolled out their new ace and former Los Angeles Dodger Hyun-Jin Ryu.

Then, the goodbyes began to roll in from Ryu’s former Dodger teammates. For instance, Justin Turner calls Ryu ‘one of his all-time favorites’ in a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Next, Walker Buehler said that while he is sad to see Ryu go; he realizes that ‘it’s part of it’. Without question, Buehler shows a maturity and understanding that bonds formed like this are broken suddenly in the business that is baseball economics.

Some teammates including Joc Pederson took to the comments section to share some online love for the Korean Monster.

Moreover, Alanna Rizzo says on her Instagram that it was a joy covering Ryu. Especially that part where he grabs a bat and becomes ‘Babe Ryuth’.

Finally, team photographer Jon SooHoo offered a heartfelt goodbye to his good friend by posting a photo of himself and a very young-looking Ryu back in 2014.

Already we have seen Ryu thank the Dodgers organization and fans for his time in Los Angeles. After reading some goodbyes from the heart and soul of the Dodger organization, it’s obvious that a goodbye like this leaves some melancholy after all the great memories.

However, maybe just maybe; someday the Monster makes a return. Stranger things have happened.

Thanks for the smiles, laughs, and good baseball Hyun-Jin Ryu.
