Dodgers: Walker Buehler Teaming up with Rich Hill for Charity

Yes, Buehler’s tournament will be benefiting Rich and Caitlin Hill’s “Field of Genes” charity. Here’s more info about the event.
All proceeds from the event will go directly towards the Field of Genes.
Field of Genes is a charity initiative started by Walker’s teammate Rich
Hill, to fund research in the fields of rare genetic and undiagnosed
diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and to ease the financial
and emotional burden for families.
The inclusion of Hill’s charity is a nice gesture by the Dodgers young ace. Last off-season, Buehler’s inaugural golf tournament benefited childhood cancer, so teaming up with Hill’s Field of Genes is right up the same alley. This is a wonderful act of support from Buehler even though, technically, Rich Hill is now a former teammate.
Moreover, D. Mountain spoke on his charity with another Dodger’s pitcher this season when he guested on Ross Stripling’s podcast “The Big Swing”.
Of course, Buehler isn’t the only Dodger to host an off-season tournament — Justin Turner has hosted his Golf Classic for the last four years — but the “Buehldog” may be the biggest golf enthusiast on the team. The 2019 All-Star spoke with Dodgers Nation earlier this season about his love of the game, amongst other topics.
If you can’t make it to Lexington in less than a day’s notice, but you would still like to help “Buehler’s Day Off” reach its goals, then you can find info for the golf outing, and Field of Genes — including how you can donate — here.
