As Jackie Robinson said it best:

“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.”

Jackie Robinson lived by that philosophy and it was evident. Now the MLB honors him in the retiring of the number 42, the movies have been made, and we continue to honor and remember Jack Roosevelt Robinson for his contributions to society.

Robinson being a Dodger makes it even greater — simply to know that we were the organization to give Robinson his platform that he utilized so well for such a long time. Everyday in baseball is a credit to Robinson’s perseverance and on this day 74 years ago, it all began.
