When the Dodgers announced their official NLDS roster on Thursday, there wasn’t much shock. While fans struggled with the decision to include Ross Stripling over Tony Gonsolin — which was the right call, by the numbers — they also wondered about some other omitted names.

Aside from the 25-man lineup, each of Austin Barnes, Casey Sadler, Alex Verdugo, Edwin Rios, Tony Gonsolin, and Kristopher Negron were announced during pre-game introductions at Dodger Stadium.
However, Jedd Gyorko, Caleb Ferguson, and Dylan Floro noticeably absent.
Of the other names above, manager Dave Roberts announced that Gonsolin, Floro, Rios and Barnes would be travelling with the club for the division series round, including the trek out to Washington.

Pitchers Sadler and Ferguson are said to be heading to the Dodgers Arizona complex for “stay hot” camp. But trade deadline infield acquisition Jedd Gyorko would be staying home.
If you’re looking for a fun fact, Jedd Gyorko, Tyler White, and yourself all have something in common… you’ll be watching Dodger baseball from your couch.
