Packed into the media room at Dodgers Stadium, Dave Roberts started to address how the Dodgers are going to approach the playoffs. While rosters may not be set in stone, we do know that d is going to be the starter for game four, if it comes to that.
Rich Hill is going to start game 4. And we know who will start games 1-3.

Dave Roberts indicated that Hill will get the bump in what could be a very important game depending on how things go. Hill has only thrown 5.2 innings since he went down with an injury in June. Through those 5.2 innings, he has allowed just 1 earned run and struck out 11.
“We’re comfortable with Rich going four innings….. that’s where going 8 in the bullpen make sense.” – Dave Roberts
While the Dodgers do know their starters for games 1 through 3, Roberts is keeping that himself for now. He did say that wherever the team is playing will NOT factor in his decision making though, which was strange. Walker Buehler and Hyun-jin Ryu have been notably better at home, especially as of late.
Dave Roberts indicated home/road splits are NOT #1 factor in setting up NLDS rotation “The splits matter, but we are digging a little bit deeper than home and road.” #Dodgers

Rich Hil may also be used out of the bullpen in game 1 an 2 if the situation calls for it.
