Dodgers Max Muncy Still Being Held Out of Series Finales vs. Colorado Rockies

Dodgers All-Star Max Muncy injured his quad in Friday Night’s victory over the Colorado Rockies and is being held out of today’s series finale vs. the Colorado Rockies after missing out on last night’s loss to the Rockies.

Dave Roberts said that Max is “playable” but with Gavin Lux and the return of Justin Turner, there’s no rush for him to potentially aggravate his quad today. The only way he might see action is in a pinch hitting role, but there’s a low chance in even that happening with a quad injury.

Muncy just came by back from a fractured wrist injury and the 29 year old slugger was making progress to get back his to all-star form, so this injury is just the annoyance as we come close to the end of the regular season.

Max Muncy’s .248/.368/.510 line for a 131 wRC+ through 562 at-bats is a big reason the Dodgers offense has been breaking all kinds of records this year.

Let’s hope Max recovers soon as is ready for the post-season.
