Last night, the Dodgers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in a bullpen game to start off the last home stand of the season at Chavez Ravine.
The Dodgers offense laid dormant until the 5th inning when Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy reached base on a walk and hit by pitch.
Corey Seager comes up to bat and goes opposites field with a drive that bounces over the fence for a ground rule double that results in a 2-1 lead for the Dodgers.

Corey Seager's two-run double matches a career-high and he becomes the sixth Dodger in franchise history with two 40+ double seasons, joining Zach Wheat (1924-25), Johnny Frederick (1929-30), Babe Herman (1929-32), Raul Mondesi (1996-97) and Shawn Green (2000, 2003).

The Rays tied it up with a solo home run by their first baseman, Ji-man Choi, but the Dodgers soon came back as Corey Doubles hits another double going opposite field to drive in Max Muncy and Kiké Hernandez in the 7th to give the Dodgers a 4-2 lead.

With the pair of doubles and four RBIs, Corey Seager set a new career high in doubles and RBIs with 41 doubles and 79 RBIs so far this season. The previous highs were 40 doubles in 2016 and 77 RBIs in 2017, which were accomplished in 157 games and 145 games, respectively.
Corey Seager has only played in 125 games this season, so the production is truly amazing to see in a year that was deemed more of a “recovery” year after last season’s elbow and hip injuries.
