One of the best left-handed relievers in the game, Pirates’ closer Felipe Vazquez, has been arrested and charged with one count of child pornography, solicitation of a child, and providing obscene material to minors.
Vazquez was widely considered to be the Dodgers’ biggest trade target at this year’s deadline.

Investigation Report
Here are the details of the investigation out of Lee County, Florida:
“FDLE’s investigation began in August of this year after agents obtained information that Vazquez had a reported sexual relationship with a 13-year-old female victim who resides in Lee County. The victim, now 15 years of age, was continuing to have a relationship with Vazquez via text messaging and received a video in July from him in which he is shown performing a sex act. Additionally, Vazquez allegedly sent the victim text messages suggesting they would meet after his baseball season was over.”
As Jeff Passan of ESPN put it: disgusting.
Administrative Leave
In addition, Vazquez has been placed on administrative leave by Major League Baseball after the reported charges:

This is purely disgusting. We can all be happy that the Dodgers did NOT trade for Vazquez and did not mortgage their future — Gavin Lux, Dustin May, and/or Keibert Ruiz — for a person like this.
Overall
Cancel Felipe Vazquez forever. It’s not hard to just not have sex with minors. https://t.co/fDy3NsjwRX
