Unexpected Injury Report Changes in Clippers vs. Warriors Game

The LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors have a big game coming up

The Golden State Warriors and LA Clippers are set to face off in a crucial game on Thursday night. The Clippers had previously announced a clean injury report, but the team recently downgraded two starters from available to questionable.

Both Marcus Morris and Ivica Zubac have been downgraded to questionable for the Clippers, as Morris is dealing with an elbow contusion and Zubac is dealing with calf soreness.

While Ivica Zubac just recently returned from a calf strain, the Morris news is very unexpected. Morris has only missed eight games all season, and has been consistently available. It is hard to tell when exactly Morris could have suffered this contusion, but his status is now in jeopardy for this big game.

The injury report remans unchanged for the Warriors, as Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Andre Iguodala, Gary Payton II, and Ryan Rollins all remain out. Jordan Poole is still being listed as probable with a left knee contusion.

This is a major game for both teams, as seeding and tie-breaker implications are on the line. The winner will finish the night ahead of the loser in the standings, while also securing at least a tie of the season series. Having lost three-straight games, the Clippers are in desperate need of a win. Even if both Morris and Zubac are out, the Clippers will still have more weapons available than Golden State, who is down their superstar point guard and two-way wing.
