Injury Report: Big Last Minute Updates in Clippers vs. Timberwolves

The LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves have injury report updates

The LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves are set to face off on Tuesday night, and both teams have made last minute injury report updates. For the Clippers, they have upgraded Ivica Zubac from questionable to available. For the Timberwolves, they have officially kept Rudy Gobert as probable on the injury report, but head coach Chris Finch said he is expected to play.

With both teams expected to have their starting centers available, there will be an increased level of interior defense that would not have been present with them out. Both Zubac and Gobert are two of the best rim protectors in the NBA, and each player anchors a defense that is not the same without them.

This is a major game for both the Clippers and Timberwolves, as seeding in the Western Conference is tighter than ever. A Clippers loss combined with wins from the Warriors and Mavericks would drop LA into the play-in picture. Needless to say, they must take care of business.

While the Clippers are looking to avoid the play-in, the Timberwolves are trying to make sure they don’t fall below it. It has been an up and down year for Minnesota, a team who enters play at 31-32. With teams like the Lakers, Thunder, and Trail Blazers still pursuing play-in spots, the Timberwolves must find a way to get wins in order to hold them off.
