Kawhi Leonard Reacts to Bones Hyland, Mason Plumlee, and Eric Gordon’s Clippers Debut

The LA Clippers debuted three new players vs. the Golden State Warriors

The LA Clippers brought in three new players at the trade deadline in Bones Hyland, Mason Plumlee, and Eric Gordon. It was a solid showing for the three new players in their first game since the trades, as the team was able to get a victory against the shorthanded Golden State Warriors.

Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was asked after the game about the debuts of his new teammates, and said, “I thought they did a good job of being themselves, being aggressive. That’s why when you get new guys coming in – I thought their mind was in the game, kind of knew what we were running on both ends of the floor.”

Clippers head coach Ty Lue was also asked about the debuts of Hyland, Plumlee, and Gordon, saying, “I thought they did a great job. Especially that second unit, like you said, just pushing the pace on misses and makes, just getting the ball up the court quick, attacking early before the defense can get set, and I thought Mason did a great job in getting the ball out of bounds quick and when he rebounded the ball and bust it out, and then made the early advance pass to allow us to get some easy baskets. So it was good to see the guys and how they played, and I like what I saw tonight.”
