Shaq wants Russell Westbrook to stay in LA

One of the biggest questions after the incredibly dramatic trade deadline is what’s going to happen to Russell Westbrook. There have been numerous reports that Russell Westbrook may be getting bought out by the Utah Jazz after being traded there by the Los Angeles Lakers.
If Russell Westbrook does get bought out by the Jazz, numerous sources have told AllClippers that there is interest from the Clippers to have him on the team. That’s a situation that NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal wants to see.
In the most recent episode of ‘Inside the NBA’, Shaq expressed his desire to see Russell Westbrook on the Clippers. The crew was asked between the Clippers, Lakers, Bucks, and Suns, where should a bought-out player go, to which Shaq immediately responded the Clippers.
Russell Westbrook on the Clippers would be a very interesting scenario. The Clippers desperately need a point guard and still have not acquired one. Westbrook would be the best point guard available, but there is a huge question of fit on the team. Westbrook can not shoot the ball very well, and that’s something the Clippers clearly value. The team had a dose of what that would look like already with John Wall, and it didn’t really service the Clippers well.
There is a lot of smoke when it comes to Russell Westbrook joining the Clippers, now it’s just a matter of waiting and seeing.
