DeMar DeRozan Shares Frustration With Refs After Clippers vs. Bulls Game

Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan was not happy with the refs in the loss to the LA Clippers

The Chicago Bulls had an opportunity to defeat the LA Clippers on Tuesday night, but some poor execution and questionable officiating saw their chance at a victory go out the window.

With Zach LaVine missing two clutch free throws with a chance to give the Bulls a lead, Chicago missed out on their best opportunity to grab hold of this game down the stretch. Their next best chance came when DeMar DeRozan spun on Reggie Jackson in the post, losing his footing and missing his shot off the bottom of the basket. After the game, DeRozan shared his frustration with the officials on that play.

“I got fouled,” DeRozan said. “What went wrong is that they didn’t call it. Simple as that. It’s frustrating. Being in that situation, I don’t wanna settle for the jump shot. As soon as I spin, his arm was reaching in and I couldn’t fully spin. I don’t know, it don’t make no sense to me. I try to be aggressive, try to get downhill, and clearly it was a foul. It just sucks that you wake up tomorrow and read the last two minute report, and something else will be missed that possibly could’ve cost us the game. That’s the more frustrating part.”

DeRozan clearly feels that he was fouled on that spin, but the officials let it go. It was a big play in a game that came down to the final few possessions, with Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers taking home the win.
